Access: Signed in The Mint Blender add-on lets you browse your Mint-generated assets from Blender. You can import finished 3D Models as GLB files, open Mint asset links, browse asset packs, and view World splats when the Kiri Engine 3DGS Render add-on is installed. Install the add-on

  1. Download the latest Mint Blender add-on .zip from the Mint Blender add-on releases page.
  2. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
  3. Drag the downloaded .zip into the Add-ons window.
  4. Click Install when Blender prompts you.
  5. Enable Mint Asset Browser.
  6. Open the 3D View sidebar and select the Mint tab. If the sidebar is hidden, press N to show it.

What the Blender add-on does

Use the add-on when you want to bring Mint assets into a Blender scene. The add-on can:
  • List your Mint 3D Models, Worlds, and asset packs.
  • Import supported 3D Models as GLB files.
  • Open assets back in Mint.
  • View World splats through Kiri Engine 3DGS Render.
  • Show active splat controls inside Blender after a World splat is imported.

Requirements

You need:
  • Blender 4.2 or newer.
  • A Mint account.
  • Internet access for sign-in and asset downloads.
  • Kiri Engine 3DGS Render if you want to view World splats.
Kiri is only needed for World splats. GLB imports for 3D Models work without Kiri.

  1. In the Mint tab, click the sign-in button.
  2. Complete the Mint sign-in flow in your browser.
  3. Return to Blender.
  4. Click Refresh if your assets do not appear right away.
After sign-in, the add-on shows your available Mint 3D Models, Worlds, and asset packs.

Browse Mint assets

Use the tabs in My Mint Assets:
  • Models: Finished 3D Models that can be imported into Blender.
  • Worlds: Finished Worlds that can be viewed as splats when Kiri is installed.
  • Packs: Asset packs with generated 3D Models.
Use the link button on an asset row to open that asset in Mint.

Import 3D Models

  1. Open the Models tab.
  2. Find a finished 3D Model.
  3. Click Import GLB.
The add-on imports the GLB into the current Blender scene. If a model says No durable GLB yet, that asset is not ready for Blender import.

Install Kiri for World splats

World splats require the Kiri Engine 3DGS Render add-on. If you only import 3D Models, you can skip this section.
  1. Download the latest Kiri Engine 3DGS Render .zip from the Kiri Engine 3DGS Render releases page.
  2. In Blender, open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
  3. Drag the downloaded .zip into the Add-ons window.
  4. Click Install when Blender prompts you.
  5. Enable Kiri Engine 3DGS Render.

View World splats

World splats require Kiri Engine 3DGS Render.
  1. Install and enable Kiri in Blender.
  2. Open the Worlds tab in the Mint add-on.
  3. Click View Splat on a World.
  4. Wait for the World to prepare and import.
If Kiri is not available, the World row shows Kiri required and includes a link to get Kiri.

Use Active Splat controls

After a World splat imports, use Active Splat in the Mint panel:
  • Render Mode: Shows the Kiri camera-updated preview.
  • Point Cloud: Selects the editable point cloud so you can move, rotate, or scale it in Blender.
  • Update View: Updates the rendered preview to match the current viewport.
  • Auto Update: Keeps updating the rendered preview while you orbit the view.
Use Point Cloud when you need normal Blender selection and transform controls.

Troubleshooting

  • If you do not see assets, click Refresh or sign in again.
  • If a World says Kiri required, install and enable Kiri Engine 3DGS Render, then try View Splat again.
  • If a 3D Model says No durable GLB yet, wait until Mint finishes preparing the import-ready file.
  • If a splat looks hard to select, switch to Point Cloud in Active Splat.
  • If import still fails, contact Mint support and include the asset link, what you clicked, and any error message Blender showed.
